Grant from North Portland Trust Fund approved thanks to Pam’s excellent grant writing skills and Joe’s tenacious defense of the application on the grant committee. Joe reported this is the last time for outreach from this fund.

Discussion of next steps,

We decided to call for a government agency meeting in mid May. After some discussion, finally agreement was reached to call for a meeting with representatives for PDOT, Parks, BES, Metro and BOP, not just Parks. This was due to all the different activities that all the above agencies are working on that effects the planned trail alignment, land or easement purchase, new code language relevant to private property, and potential funding. We decided it was important to get all the parties in one room to coordinate the efforts, so npGREENWAY knows where the priorities are in the broader government efforts are. Francie will put out the email request to schedule a date and time.

Tour with Dan Saltzman, April 13^th, npGREENWAY is to be represented by Curt, Paul and Francie with Lenny meeting on Swan Island. Two adidas employees, Matt Grumm, a Park’s van driver (Steve Pixley) and Jim Sujin.

Next meeting of the core group to be Tuesday April 24^th 7:00 at Madronna Café.
