Rose Quarter
This section of the npGREENWAY extends south along Interstate Ave. from Tillamook St. to the Steel Bridge and the Eastbank Esplanade. This section also contains river dependent industries including Cargill located north of the Broadway Bridge and Dreyfus Property just north of the Steel Bridge.

Albina
This section of the npGREENWAY extends from Swan Island on the north end to Interstate Ave. and Tillamook St. on the south end.

Swan Island
Swan Island is generally level and, actually, no longer an island. It was joined to the mainland with fill material dredged from the river in the 1920’s. From 1928 to 1940 it was the Portland Airport and after that became one of the Kaiser wartime shipyards. The Port of Portland resumed operation of its shipyards in 1950.

North Beach
North Beach is a low lying area below Waud Bluff extending north from the University of Portland two miles to Cathedral Park.

Baltimore Woods
This section of the npGREENWAY is to the north of Baltimore Ave. and follows Decatur St. eventually bending northeast towards Lombard St. and into Pier Park.

Pier and Chimney Parks
This section of the trail is on an accessible paved path through Pier Park, runs over the bridge connecting Pier with Chimney Park, and finishes at Columbia Blvd.
