North Portland Sunday Parkways – August 2, 2026

npGREENWAY participated in the North Portland Sunday Parkways by hosting an information booth in conjunction with the 40 Mile Loop Land Trust. Participants generally enjoyed the car-free streets and family-friendly environment, which allowed walking, biking, and rolling along a scenic 6.7-mile route featuring Downtown St. Johns, McCoy Park, Columbia Park & Annex, and McKenna Park. The event highlights the recent walking and biking infrastructure improvements along N. Willamette Blvd, adding 3 new miles of protected bikeway on N Willamette Blvd, connecting to existing facilities on N Rosa Parks Way, to create a continuous 5-mile connection from St Johns & Cathedral Park to NE MLK Jr Blvd.
